SPEED DEMON CYCLES

Hi there, Welcome to my INDIAN blog,
Your are looking at the culmination of about 10 months work, The plan was to build a modern hot rod Bobber, I chose a Harley Softail style frame and Springer forks for their timeless looks and ride ability.
Not because they suited any type of Indian heritage,  Purely because I like the look. Its all about making what you have at hand, work.
The Engine is a 2003 PP100 Indian purchased from Blackhawk  Motor Works in Florida, Transmission is an early Evo case with a 2003 TC88 gearset, that has had a 5 speed kicker conversion added.
The Seat is suspended via a custom made single leaf spring and functions well with the softail shocks.
the exhaust is hand made by me, using an automotive Hot Dog muffler, and rolled pipe with mandrel bends.
Wheels are from a 2009 FXD 17" rear with 160mm tire, 19" front with the 100/90 tire.
3" primary belt, and 1" rear belt with a sporty pulley.
1970's Superglide Gas tank, has a new mounting system and a late model screw neck TIG'd into place.
CULP Specialties sold me an INDIAN bronze plaque that is mounted on the front springer shock.
Round oil tank has a HOT TAP attached to the filler plug. And the riser bolt holes in the Bars are filled with 458 Winchester cartridges that have the primers replaces with LED's for oil and Neutral lights.
The frame was raked out to 38deg to counteract the harleys Neg rake springer, and to my surprise, Handles extremely well with that change.
back fender is a Jesse james rigid. mounted on the swingarm, with an LED mini tombstone attached.
Front headlight is a Hi/low 4" on a custom mount.
Overall I am extremely happy with this build, and so is the New owner 'Snow'. I have my own INDIAN PP100 put aside for a similar project. and can not wait to get started on it later on this year (2011)
Thanks for looking hope you enjoy. More of my work can be seen at.... SPEED DEMON CYCLES.
